CSC Approves Porter Greenovation Grant

Effective at the start of Spring Quarter, the Campus Sustainability Council (CSC) has approved a $3,500 grant to the Greenovation project.  $500 has been allotted for outreach and group formation, while the remaining funds should go towards paint and educational materials. This award is intended to get us on our way to educating the student body about the many environmental movements on campus, getting them involved,  and sparking their interest in a sustainable campus and community.

Porter Greenovation Project

The Porter Greenovation Project (PGP) is a multidimensional involvement on behalf of student leaders to recreate a space that embodies the concept of sustainability. Student leaders work closely with the student body, faculty, and staff to renovate the Porter Study Center. The mission is to empower students by fostering a commitment to engage the community in education and action throughout the retrofitting process. Aside from developing strong leaders, the end goal is to establish a resource center that offers intern, program, and other various opportunities for the emerging communities.
